What is occupational health at Network Rail?
Occupational health is about managing your health within your workplace. Our new occupational health service will be run by Network Rail, for Network Rail – supporting you to be safe and well in your workplace.
We offer a professional service with friendly and impartial occupational health support from in-house occupational health professionals who understand Network Rail. With 22 occupational health centres across Great Britain, you can get the right support wherever you are.
Our occupational health professionals are bound by the same confidentiality as your doctor, nurse, or healthcare professional. This means your information will not be shared with anyone else without your consent – unless a legal duty overrides the duty of confidence or if an occupational health professional has no choice but to break the confidence to protect you or others.
We will offer a range of services to keep you safe in your job, including:
- Medicals for safety-critical roles
- Advice about medication at work
- Guidance on controlling health risks at work and spotting early signs of work-related illness
- Impartial advice to enable and support you at work with a medical condition or impairment
